Which dasa to follow?

There are schools of astrology who teach lot of dasa systems to the students. Student of astrology remain confused which dasa to follow. Around two decades back a book came in the market which was on predicting technique taking two dasa Yogini and Vimshottari. Book explained how we can use two dasas on a single event and if both dasa systems are indicating that event will happen then the possibility of happening the event increases. In the end authors also wrote that additionally Ashtottari dasa can also be used for still more accurate results. Fortunately authors were present in an Astrology mela and a question was asked to them. A native purchases a vehcle in April 1997 and according to Vimshottari Dasa Dasa period of Ketu-Venus-Sun is inoperation in Yogini Jupiter – Saturn – Mercury  and in Ashtottari  Moon – Mas and Rahu, then why native does nto purchase a vehicle in every dasa – Bhukti – Antar?

Author confessed  that in Astrology predictions are impossible and he is just passing time in Astrology. This happens when one can not asses the planets. What planets signify? What they will do in their dasa periods. Simple methodology of Nadi Astrology explains that Sub lord is stronger than Nakshatra and Nakshatra is stronger than the palnet. If we use this methodology we are able to know what planet will give in its periods. Using Vimshottari dasa events can be pin pointed with accuracy. All other Dasas do not give results. Also in Brihat Parshar Hora Shastram, Parshar Rishi conveys to his students That its only the Vimshottari dasa which will be applicable in kaliyuga.

Results of Rahu Dasa

Rahu is considered a malefic Planet in Hindu Astrology nowadays commonly known as Vedic Astrology. People who are running Dasa or major period of Rahu quite often search the effects of Rahu Mahadasa or the results of Rahu Mahadasa on the internet and in the books of astrology. They get varied point of views on the net and in the books. Let us try to understand why there are varied point of views and how can we arrive at the accurate results in Rahu Mahadasa. Everyone on the planet Earth is born with an altogether different horoscope because of the different planetary combinations. Similar planetary combination is repeated after 4800 years approximately.

Now if we have to understand the results of Rahu, the placement of Rahu in sign, in house, in Nakshatra and sub lord has to be seen for the results signified by Rahu. As you know there are various Antar Dasas run in the major dasas. Same will happen in case of Rahu. First it will be Anatardasa of Rahu, then Jupiter and in the last Antardasa of Mars will run in the Dasa of Rahu. Results of Dasa of Rahu of 18 years depend also on the Antardasa of all the nine planets. Similarly each Antardasa will have nine Pratyantar dasas whose results are relevant to arrive on the final results of Antardasas in the Dasa of Rahu. Results of all the planets depend upon the sign, house, Nakshatra and the sub lords in which they are placed. 

This implies that all nine planets sign, house, Nakshatra and the sub lords longitude of the Ascendant is the key factor in telling the results of Rahu Mahadasa or Dasa of 18 years. There can be ups and downs in career, sale and purchase of properties, travels, health related problems/ recovery etc. depending upon the other eight planets placement of the planets also. In addition to it transits play vital role in pointing the events of life.

Conclusion is each horoscope will have different results of Rah and Rahu Mahadasa. Whole horoscope is required to be analyzed for arriving at the results of Rahu. General results written in texts, net, books etc. have no meaning whatsoever.

Only common thing in Rahu dasa in all horoscopes will be the natural significance of Rahu. Rahu is separative in nature and rules dirty places, outcastes, anything happening suddenly. Hence Rahu rules divorce, foreign travel, amputation, accidents etc. Old vehicle will be purchased if Rahu signifies Vehicle purchase but it must need help from saturn, similarly proprty will not be purchased in posh colony in majority of cases. However these events will happen according to the houses signified by Rahu and other planets.
