There is a yoga in traditional Astrology called Parivartana Yoga. Some say parivartana Raj Yoga. Its stated like this that if two house lords exchange their positions it is formed. For an example in say Aries Ascendant 5th lord is Sun and is placed in 10th house and Saturn 10th house lord is placed in 5th house. Both of them have exchanged their positions. Now this is parivartana Yoga.
Out of these 66 parivartana Yogas, 30 are caused by the lords of the 6th, 8th and 12th and are called Dainya (misery) yogas. 8 such Parivartana Yogas are caused by the lord of the 3rd and are termed as Kahala yogas. The remaining 28 are known as Maha Yogas.
According to so called Vedic asrtology texts, the person with Dainya Yoga at birth will be a fool, will revile others and indulge in sinful deeds. He is always in trouble from his enemies. He will speak harshly and will not have a stable mind. He will encounter obstacles in all his ventures.
The native with Kahala Yoga will occasionally be haughtly and sometimes sweet in his speech. There will be occasions when he will be very prosperous and then will be driven to poverty, unhappiness and misery.
Person born with Mahayoga will be lucky and will be adorned with expensive and beautiful clothes and ornaments. He is revered and honored by the king. He will hold a high position and will be rewarded of authority by the king, He will be blessed with sons and fully enjoy wealth and conveyances.
Conclusion – Now just imagine 6th lord in 8th / 6th in 12th and vice vers is Dainya Yoga and is also Vipreet raj Yoga. Now this confuses an astrologer what to follow and what not to follow. Where to go. Raj Yoga means that he will be like a king and by above statments he will be a king and a fool implies what,? Nothing! Just a confusion! Isn’t it?
Practically if Mercury is in Pisces and Jupiter in Virgo In Aries Ascendant it is Vipreet raj Yog and also Dainya Yoga. Now this combination can remain nearly for a month every two hours daily when Jupiter enters Virgo. Hence its a generalization that everyone born will be alike! What about other planets? Now answer will be see other planetary combinations also. What you gather then if Mercury is with Sun? What will be the effect of Sun? And in all such cases Jupiter will be retro obviously and if also Mercury retrogrades also? So there will be infinite combinations to confuse you without any concrete results. Same problems are observed in other yogas and a student of astrology is never able to predict anything concrete.
