North is a direction which Sun light never comes in winters. Sun rises in the East and sets in the West and in winters it takes Southern course. In summers it takes Northern course. Hence in summers for 2-3 months for few hours you can see sunlight in North East. In India winds normally flow Easterly or westerly. Houses who face Easterly or Westerly will have abundance of air/ cross ventilation. For houses facing North, North East, and North west will not have abundance of Air inside.
This implies North is devoid of Sun light and air and similar is the case of for North eastern direction. Hence both are worst directions for Vastu.
